Hilal Polat was born in 1979 in Ankara, Turkey, and currently lives and works in Istanbul. She graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. Polat explores the shaping of production through different perspectives, engaging in various creative fields such as design, theater, performance, and art direction. Using "tradition" as a starting point in her work, she seeks to combine forms in plastic arts with the possibilities offered by other art disciplines. Polat continues her practice with the instinct of creating a world of her own to inhabit.
